Introducing Grey Goose: Our Latest Work in Progress
At Irons and Oak, we pride ourselves on crafting unique, awe-inspiring works of art that blend creativity with craftsmanship. Our latest endeavor is no exception. We’re thrilled to give you a behind-the-scenes look at our newest creation: a life-size horse sculpture named Grey Goose, meticulously made from hundreds of horseshoes.
The Vision Behind Grey Goose
Grey Goose is more than just a sculpture; it’s a testament to the elegance and strength of horses. To ensure accuracy and realism, we used Marshall as our reference guide for the dimensions. Every curve and contour of this sculpture is designed to capture the essence of a real horse, down to the finest detail.
Progress So Far
Currently, we’ve just begun working on the back line of the sculpture. This stage is both challenging and rewarding, as it sets the foundation for the horse’s overall posture and flow. Each horseshoe is carefully selected and placed to ensure structural integrity while maintaining a fluid and natural appearance.
The Art of Horseshoe Sculpting
Transforming raw horseshoes into a life-sized masterpiece is no small feat. It requires patience, precision, and an unwavering commitment to our craft. Each horseshoe is a piece of the puzzle, contributing to the greater whole. This process allows us to celebrate the versatility of metalwork while honoring the majestic beauty of horses.
